About 6.6 reels of board weight at 300 kg each — the app works it out per grade at the real deckle.

A requirement in kilos is not a purchase order. Quick Safa converts it to the deckle you actually stock, tells you which reels to issue for each grade, and books the consumption against inventory when the job runs.

The exact requirement is theoretical board weight from your GSM and rates. Real consumption also depends on how well the blank fits the reel width you buy — the biggest source of avoidable paper waste in a corrugating plant.

How to use it

Built for the moment a buyer confirms an order and somebody has to decide how much paper to bring in.

Layers that share a grade and GSM are consolidated into one purchase line, because a 5-ply board with the same liner top and bottom should appear on your order as a single quantity of that grade, not as three.

  1. 01

Specify the box and the order

Enter the carton dimensions, the ply, the flute and how many boxes the order is for.

  2. 02

    List your paper grades

Give the grade and GSM for each layer of the board. Layers sharing a grade and GSM are consolidated into a single purchase line.

  3. 03

    Set a waste allowance

Add the percentage your plant actually loses in set-up and trim, so the purchase figure is the one you order against.

  4. 04

    Read the purchase list

You get kilograms required per grade, consolidated into order lines, plus the total board weight for the run.

The same engine, with the rest of the plant attached.

In the app this number flows into the quotation, the job card, the material issue, the challan and the ledger — so nobody types it a second time.
