Trust
Security & your data.
You are being asked to put your customers, your costs and your tax records into software made by a small company. That is a reasonable thing to be careful about, so here is where it lives, who can see it, and how you take all of it back.
The facts
- Where does my data live?
- In a managed PostgreSQL database on cloud infrastructure, with the application served from a CDN. Your business records — customers, vendors, items, jobs, invoices, stock and the general ledger — all sit in that one database, encrypted at rest.
- How often is it backed up?
- Daily, automatically, with point-in-time recovery available on the database. Backups are encrypted and are not stored on the same machine as the live database.
- Is it encrypted in transit?
- Yes. Everything moves over HTTPS, including the connection to FBR. Your FBR token is encrypted at rest separately and is used only to transmit invoices you have instructed us to post.
- Who on your team can see it?
- A small number of people who operate the service. Access is used to investigate a problem — normally one you have raised with us — and not for anything else. We do not browse customer ledgers, we do not use your data for marketing, and we do not use it to train models.
- Who controls access inside my own company?
- You do. Permissions are set per module and per action, so the floor supervisor can update a job without seeing your margins. Job costing in particular is hidden by default and has to be granted deliberately.
- How long do you keep it?
- For as long as your account is open. After an account closes we hold the data for 90 days so you can change your mind or ask for a further export, then delete it. Server logs are kept for 30 days. Our own billing records are kept for as long as Pakistani tax law requires.
The important part
How you leave.
Every software vendor tells you how to sign up. Far fewer will tell you how to leave, which is exactly why it is worth writing down.
If Quick Safa stops being the right answer for your plant — or if we stop existing — you keep a complete set of your records and you can put them into whatever comes next. That is the deal, and it does not depend on us being reasonable about it later.
- 01
Export it yourself, whenever you like
Customers, vendors, items, invoices, bills, payments, stock and the full general ledger all export to Excel from inside the application. This is a normal feature, not a request you have to file — you do not need our permission or our involvement.
- 02
Ask for the whole database
Email us and we will produce a complete dump of your company’s data in a standard format, at no charge. We will not ask you why.
- 03
Take your documents with you
Invoices, challans, quotations and job cards print and save as PDF. Your FBR-posted invoices also remain on record with FBR independently of us.
- 04
Then close the account
Tell us and we close it. Ninety days later the data is deleted. Nothing is held hostage, and there is no exit fee.
Something here not specific enough?
Ask. If you need to know the hosting region, the retention period for a particular record type, or want a written commitment for your own compliance file, email contact@quicksafa.com and we will put it in writing rather than point you at a badge.
